Contest Rules

When 4000 new individual people (only one email address per person) from central Louisiana join the CodeKite email list, we will pick a random person from our email list to award one Apple iPad™ worth about $500.

Our contest is open to residents of the following parishes in Louisiana: Rapides, Grant, LaSalle, Avoyelles, Evangeline, Allen, Vernon, & Natchitoches parishes. Email addresses on our list must be from residents of these parishes to count toward the 4000 number.

No purchase is necessary to enter. You must be at least 18 years of age, and a current US resident to enter our contest. One entry per person. Employees (or their immediate families) of McCain Group, LLC, CodeKite, or any subsidiary are not eligible to win our contests or giveaways.

The odds of winning will depend on the number of email list members. Unless otherwise noted, all contests and giveaway prizes are awarded via random drawing.

The winner will be notified by email within 3 business days of the drawing. The winner will have 10 business days to claim the prize by sending an email to CodeKite per instructions provided in the notification. CodeKite is not responsible for and shall not be liable for any late, lost, or misdirected notification, or for the winner's unsuccessful efforts to claim any prize. Watch your spam filters! If CodeKite cannot contact the winner or if the winner proves to be ineligible, CodeKite will select an alternate winner by random drawing.

In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person assigned to the winner's email address by the organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the winner's email address's Internet domain. McCain Group, LLC & CodeKite reserves the right to disqualify any entrant in violation of these rules.

Winners automatically grant the use of their name and likeness, without prior notice or compensation in the promotion of this and other McCain Group, LLC contests.

Winners are responsible for applicable state or federal taxes (winner must pay any taxes due directly to a government entity).

All contests and giveaways are void where prohibited by law. It is your responsibility to refrain from entry if our contests or giveaways are illegal in your jurisdiction. If you are declared a winner but contests and giveaways like these are illegal in your jurisdiction, your prize will be forfeited and given to a runner-up.

All entrants to any of McCain Group LLC, or CodeKite contest both imply and agree to participate in the contests and obey the rules by their participation in the contest.

The contest may be terminated at any time.

CodeKite shall not be liable for:
(i) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind;
(ii) failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions;
(iii) any condition caused by events beyond the control of CodeKite that may cause the drawing to be disrupted or corrupted;
(iv) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the drawing; or
(v) any typographical errors in any materials associated with the drawing.

CodeKite reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or cancel the drawing at any time if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper operation of the drawing.
